HMS Exeter WIP stages

 

Here are the work in progress images for my pixel art piece "HMS Exeter".

This picture was also based into a painting made Roy Huxley, that I found in an old Matchbox model kit catalog.

Here is a photo of that painting:

So, I used that as reference, and basically copied the whole image to pixel format.

And this was the end result:

Everything was drawn by hand, using a ruler and a calculator to get the dimensions right, and in the end, after a week of pixelling, it ended up looking pretty good. :)
